This camp will be focusing on teaching the wonderful and ever-lasting skill of sewing.  Students will be making a lined and reversible knot bag with some of our carefully selected fabrics and a recycled fabric lining. Knowing how to sew and getting the basics right is a wonderful skill to take forward in life.  Over this week-long camp students will begin with hand sewing and learning 5 key stitches that can be used to assemble or decorate items.  We will then move onto machine sewing and some introductory pattern cutting in order to create our own designed reversible knot bag. This camp also includes an introduction to working with recycled fabrics and taking old garments and incorporating them into new designs. We take great care in selecting fabrics as sustainable as possible and using them in a way that reduces waste and supports the idea of sustainable fashion.  This camp will include our ‘License to sew’ award which covers all the fundamentals of hand sewing and introductory machine sewing.

We strongly recommend confirming details of camps with organisers before booking. We strive to ensure accuracy of information, but events may be subject to change without prior notice.
